How we verify
Most travel marketplaces are optimised to make you book quickly. The counters, the invented scarcity and the wall of five-star reviews all point one way. This page is what we do instead, and each item is a rule the site actually enforces rather than a promise about intentions.

Operators
A listing does not go live until the operator is checked
Licence and insurance are confirmed, and someone has spoken to them. An operator who has not been through this has a status that keeps their experiences out of search entirely — not a lower ranking, no presence at all.
Where an operator badge says something measurable — years in business, typical reply time — it is computed from a founding year on record and from real message data. Nothing on an operator profile is typed in by the operator as a claim about themselves.
-
Reviews
Only people who booked and went can write one
A review is attached to a completed booking. Not "verified" as a badge we award, but as a structural fact: a review with no booking behind it cannot be stored. There are no invited reviews, no incentives, and no way to buy one.
The full distribution is shown, including the twos and the ones. A page of nothing but fives tells you nothing, and everyone has learned to discount it. A visible three is what makes the fives worth reading.
A rating average is arithmetic over those reviews and nothing else — it is never set by hand, by us or by an operator. Below five reviews we show the count rather than an average, because "5.0" from one person is not information. Operators can reply publicly to any review. They cannot edit, hide or delete one.

Availability
We will not manufacture urgency
When a date shows as nearly full, that is computed from the places actually left against the operator's real capacity. There is no field anyone can tick to make a departure look scarce, and there are no "12 people are viewing this" counters, because we would have to make those up.
-
Money
The price you are shown is the price
The service fee is visible in the breakdown before you pay, not revealed at the last step. The cancellation deadline is stated on the experience page and again at checkout, in dates rather than in terms. Nothing is charged until you confirm.
Operators are paid after travel has happened, and commission is deducted before payout rather than invoiced afterwards. A booking's total is computed in exactly one place in our code, so the app, the website and the operator's console cannot quote you different numbers.

Photographs
Images are checked against the place
Images that our team has confirmed against the actual location are marked as such. An image without that mark is the operator's own, shown as theirs.
Something not right?
If a listing does not match what you found when you arrived, tell us with your booking reference and we will take it up with the operator. Getting this wrong is worth more to us to know about than to not.
